The Vestry of All Saints is seeking an Organist to play the organ and direct the choir for Sunday services, main festivals and occasional services. We are an inclusive and welcoming congregation, part of the Scottish Episcopal Church.
Weekly Sung Eucharist is at 10.30am on Sundays. There is no regular Evensong. At present choir practice is held at 9.45am on Sundays with a small but loyal and enthusiastic choir. There is room to develop this and increase membership.
We have a very rare small Romantic organ of 13 stops, two manuals and pedal, opus 1172, by Wilhelm Sauer of Frankfurt-on-Oder. The pipework is original with no additions. It is ideal for the accompaniment of a congregation. Tuning and maintenance are carried out as required.
It is hoped the successful candidate could start in November. Remuneration is in accordance with Royal School of Church Music guidelines.
Deputies are available.
