We were delighted to have a newcomer in our congregation on Sunday (May 11th) – our new Bishop Nick Bundock.

Nick lives in the new Bishop’s House in Thorn Road, only a short distance from the church, and members of the congregation welcomed him warmly during his unexpected visit.

We took the opportunity to snatch a photo of him with the three church Davids – Rector the Revd David Guest, lay representative David Simmonds and alternate lay rep David Hamblen.

We hope Nick will be able to make a more formal visit to the church soon in his capacity as diocesan Bishop to lead a service and to preach.

The Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock was consecreated as the new Bishop of the United DIocese of Glasgow & Galloway only the previous weekend in the Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin in Glasgow.
