House Groups

The Monday House Group

This Autumn, David Wheatley will lead the house group at 8 West
Chapelton Crescent, Bearsden. It will take the form of a series of
presentations, with personal photographs, involving responses from
our House Group members, reflecting on specific topics relevant to
Christian faith and its origins, seen in the light of a pilgrimage to the
Holy Land in 2019 made with Ann and three valued friends (Sheena,
Andrew and Brenda), fellow members of the House Group. The
Revd. Professor John Riches will act as an adviser.
David says: For me, the pilgrimage gave geographical understanding
to add to an historical basis for the origins of Christianity, with a
resultant deepening of faith. Topics for each meeting below:

The E Group

E group stands for exploring our faith. We are a group of 8 – 10 people who meet monthly in somebody’s home  Last session we discussed the Lord’s Prayer and the problem with forgiveness. This was an excellent session which we all enjoyed. We held a pot luck supper at the end of October to discuss the next book for study.The next book chosen is ‘Equality is Biblical’ by Penelope Wilcock -Lifting the curse of Eve. The next meeting will be on December 1st 7.30pm at 21 Kelvin Crescent.
